A Safety Certificate (Roadworthy) is issued after a vehicle passes a minimum safety standard inspection. A safety certificate covers basic things that could affect the safe operation of the vehicle, such as
Tyres – Tread must be Min.1.5m
Brakes
Steering
Suspension
Body Rust or Damage
No Leaks – Oil etc
Road Test the Vehicle
Windscreen – No Cracks or Damage obscuring the Drivers vision
Lights – All Lights must be operational
